Grounded

For as long as mankind has been in existence, we have looked up at the night sky and been mesmerized by it. All the distant lights put a trance on the mind. Mouths are silenced; all preoccupying thoughts are temporarily forgotten; our consciousness wanders through an indescribable fog.

Little did we know, we mimicked it. Only, we didn’t realize it until recently. Looking down on civilization from 39000 feet, we are equally as memorized. The city lights put a trance on the mind. Mouths are silenced; all preoccupying thoughts are temporarily forgotten; our consciousness wanders through an indescribable fog.

These were just some of my foggy wanderings of thought as the plane flew through Toronto’s night sky. Nothing could snap me out of it.

..until I was brought back to earth.
